i talked to alison for like an hour today! yayyy. im happy for her sounds like she's really happy and learning lots while she's out there on the E coast..she is also preparing for my arrival - 3 months in advance. lol..hollaaaaa. anyway i've been waiting for the damnstore to ship our washer and dryer. bitches. man..im soooo dead right now. i think im coming down with something. fortunately i'm suuper warm wearing lots of layers and my big northface jacket! =) anyway i really need to get some studying in, so i'll be sure to do that before class tonight. ugh, i dont really want to go. anyway, AMY is still in town so we'll behanging out afterward. hopefully i can take her to do some real partying. time to catch up the past few days!!!

dec 5 - i studied for a good part of the day. then i met up with annie and watched her play starcraft for a while. then we made a trip to inn-n-out, talked, and then i drove up to irvine to spend some time with ava. we walked SCOUT - their dog - and then i went to bed after jerry maguire.

dec 6 - dtrieu met me at the apt and we went to disneyland! what a party. i used my sister's annual pass so i got a free admission but david had to fend for himself. =) we spent a few hours there and went on a good number of rides - thank goodness for fast pass - and there werent that many people there which was SUUPER AWESOME. after that, we drove back to the apt, had dinner with ava and william, and then drove separate cars down to san diego. we watched korean dramas till like 2am and then called it a night.

dec 7 - ANNIES BIRTHDAY!!! we all had breakfast for annie's birthday at ORIGINAL PANCAKE HOUSE! wooot. we were all hella tired though. it was cool because i met some of annie's friends and annie met david. my school world and home world coming together. after that, david and i headed up to the restaurant because i had to work the whole day. meanwhile he just sat in the corner and studied cuz he has one more final. i partied it up with my mom and helped her with accounting type stuff for the restaurant. we left work early, and then picked up AMY!!!!!! who was and still is in san diego for this conference, and then we met up with ANNIE AND JOHN AND CUONG AND JERRY AND EILEEN AND SOME OTHER FOLKS so that we could all go ICESKATING at the OUTDOOR ICESKATING RINK!!!! =) yayyay. it was sooooooo fun. it was super cool once again that my stanford friends met my home friends (annie/john - who are like suuper important to me and are like family) anyway john was piicking on me and was like "oh is that your boyfriend? cuong, tell gloria to introduce you to her boyfriend". with that said and with amy like HUH? and rescuing me by saying she was my boyfriend, i introduced cuong to david. annddd with that said, the cat was outta the bag and so yep, i'm dating david trieu. amy asked david about it and he didn't say anything and just giggled apparently lol and then she asked me and i was like yup, so there you have it. anyway, ice skating was a BLAST. afterward we went to get boba but being the old fogies that we are, dtrieu, amy and i split early because we were all tired. poor annie lost her cell phone =( so she was suuper sad - but have no fear, i recovered it the following day. back at home, david and i watched an episode of "bad family" and called it a night.

dec 8 - HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY!!!!!! amy yu turned 23! hollerrrr. so in the morning, david and i ate milk and cereal for breakfast - which wasn't so pleasant because i think im turning lactose intolerant. then he busted a move and drove backt o LA to catch his flight. i went out to buy amy a gift - which is a mini christmas tree - and then i got a phone call because annie's phone was found, so i drove down to the icesakting rink to pick it up. then i came home and did some bonding activities with my dad and brian. we went to buy groceries for the restaurant and my dad showed us off the the employees. when my dad talked about me he was like and this one a world traveller and he picked me up from behind with his arms around my stomach and i was OH DEAR because of the milk i had earlier. it wasnt very pleasant. plus i realized in the car later that my fly had been open and part of my shorts were sticking out the crotch part. lol. dear me. anyway then we went out to eat some awesome chinese food.t hen we went home. i took a nap. then got up for work at the restaurant with my mommy and daddy. i drove separately so i could meet up with amy later. anyway, then it was my mom's turn to ask me about david. i spilled the beans and she was like as long as your happy. that was that. i left work with a bunch of fooood to bring to amy and ALENA, amy's coworker who was at the hotel too! we ate the deeelicious fooood and had aawesome ENERGETIC AND ENTHUSIASTIC conversation - my face was hurting from smiling so much - and then amy and i split and talked at the fireplace in the other tower. oh they are staying at the sheraton right by the airport. anyway amy and i talked some more about current events and our lives and whatnot. good times =) then around 1am, we split because amy had to get up at 6am, and i was just dead or getting sick. so i went back home and went to sleeeeeeeeeeeeep.

movie marathon!

so after dim sum, i took the rest of my practice mcat - didn't do so hot. then i met up with annie at UTC and we went shopping for a long ass time! it was awesome!!! then we went to her house where i ate all her food and we watched some great movies! we saw...the kingdom - sooo good!, sweeney todd, and then semi-pro (which was okay!). in the meantime i was partaking in arts and crafts by painting this white clay dinosaur. fun times!!!! now it's late so im gonna vamoose into bed. =)

i just ate dim sum at emerald with john and all his friends! yay!!! =) they're such beautiful people it makes me so happy! hahahaha. =D yay for beautiful people in the world.

wing wednesday

yay for cheap wings! i went out with my middle school friends!!! i saw PAULINE and SARAH YANG and ANDREW AGAIN!!! it turned into a BAE event! BAE is the company that andrew works for. there were a bunch of his coworkers there. it was aawesomee cuz the wings were only 40 cents each!!! awesome or what?!?!? dudeee. anyway, yayyy for seeing them again. hopefully we'll see each other next week for thao's birfday at D&B and hopefully we'll go clubbing afterwardddd. mooo wah hahahaha. =)

earlier in the day, i woke up and studied for a few hours. then i went to volunteer at the hospital where i was training a new patient advocate! YAY for awesome people who want to volunteer!!! we finished early like around 3, so i went to the library and studied until about 5. then i went home and cleaned up and got ready to go out to wing wednesday at callahan's pub and brewery! woooooooooooooooooooo. yay for enjoying life! hahaha. im a spoiled little brat! =)

im so clumsy!

dude i was working at the restaurant and iwas pretty tired from running earlier in the day. brian came up to visit and at the end of the day, we were all cleaning up. i took a tray of dirty dishes into the kitchen but since they were mopping on the floor, i didnt quite make it all the way, and slipped and dropped all the dishes and broke 4 glass cups =(. it was suuuper embarassing. fortuunately no customers were there at the time. OH MAN. im such a clutz.

earlier that day..i think i was mostly studying..and then i went running with john at TP around 2? then we ran until about 3ish. then i came home, and then it was time to go to the restaurant. hence, why i was sooo tired.

dang..im so glad i'm done with stanford. SO GLAD. man...in spite of EVERYTHING, even though i woulda been unhappy...i think going to ucsd would have been just fine. AHHHH. stupid stupid stupid gloria. why are you so fucking dumb.

happy thanksgiving, adrien brody!

hahahaha. so i woke up about an hour ago to the water spilling off the roof and splashing on our front door step. that's why my door is usually cloooosseeeeddddd. anyway, yay happy thanksgiving everybody! =) lets see...plans for today. my sister is coming down around 3pm and we're gonna eat at the restaurant for some reason. oh yeah! someone ordered a party tray and so we're gonna go there, my dad is gonna make it for 'em, and then we'll eat, and bust a move on home. i might go shopping with huong at the carlsbad outlets cuz they open at 11pm! how weird huh?! ohhh and my sister wants to go to michaels cuz they're open today 6-9pm! how crazyyyyy. lol. yayayya for shopping. im going to get a laptop and a digital camera..i also need an mp3 player because my poor shuffle broke. i should just take it into apple. we'll see if i actually do that. lol. i also want a boom box! so i can take it to the beach for bonfires n shiet...although i heard that they might be taken out the bonfire pits in sd because it costs several million? or so to maintain over the cousre of a year. BITCHESSSSS. i really hope they dont take those suckers out. =( anyway, yepppppppppppp.

so yesterday i volunteered and then did nothing and tried to studied and then chatted and then watned to go out and then i ended up watching KING KONG, again! but its such an awesomeeeeeeeeeeeee movie. i <3 adrien brody. he's soooo awesome and he's such a stud in the movie. he's like geeky but all heroic and shit...and he has a nice asss body for that one scene they shoot with his shirt off. man..gives me gooosebumps! =) so i imdb-d him and stuff..DUDE he was friends with TUPAC...and he's into hip hop music! woooo. plus, he kept me company last night while i was supposed to be dancin dancin dancin...hahaha anyway, yeah yesterday was a failure interms of plans for hte evening. i dont know why i want to go out so much but its like when i wanna go out i just really wanna go out. *sigh* so i got all dressed and readay to go but i just stayed at home. lol. whatever. OH but yesterday was an AWESOMEEEEEEEE DAY interms of volunteering atht ehopstal! i felt pretty darn useful! i wrote an account of my day yesterday so i'll just copy and paste haha:

umm..i felt so helpful today! i was a "sitter" for like half
an hour, i got an IV pump from central service in the base-
ment downstairs...i helped a patient find his room and got
him some ice water...i talked to some visitors, and helped this
one lady -abeaitufl old lady -find the right elevator and she
told me to look out the window and she was like all that used
to be nothinggg..like 50 years ago mission valley was all
truck farms and like...dirt. hahaha. oh man...another visitor
was visitning his brother in law and he was from
barstow! wooooooo. anyway, OH YEAH. and success! i visited
my usual patient and he was stronger than last week but
not in th emood to talk much so i just sat with him..i saw
him like 3 times today..the last time i gave him a crane -2
in fact, 1 pretty one and 1 that moved - and he seemed pretty
grateful. im not good at giving gifts but I LOVEEEE it when
people like my gifts. =) so that was coool. i like it when people are
appreciative. it makes me soo happy. mannn...OH and
there was a guy who wanted therapeutic dogs. it seems like
thats the only thing that'll make his visit so im super
happy he's going to get 'em tomorrow. =) i actually saw a
lot of patients today. woooo. OH, the lady i was sitting
for...i felt horribe because she was tearing up and i tried
to talk to her..she didnt open up too much but i think i was able to
reassure her a little...and i think she was grateful so yayyy!

hmm...i dont konw what else to say..but today was good. good good.
i had a positive attitude and it helped soo much. i wasan't too
awkward..i was confident in what i was doing - i knew i where to get
ice/water..i kne where supplies were...where the magazines were..igot the officer xlarge gloves.. i got the routine down now...and i
was helping with other errands! i guess they were a little
understaffed or something today because there were fewer pp..
anyway GOOD DAY. =) ANDDD i dont have to work! awesomeeee =)


sooooo yep that was all yesterday. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....k that's all! im totally bore dright now. hahahah its GREAT! :D

what an awesome movie! i just raided annie and john's house and ate banh mi and we watched the hulk. =) so much for working out. gosh, i'm larger than life.

instant gratification

this is what i'm all about. be happy. be happy now cuz you can die tomorrow! =) i think this is what it's come to in recent years especially after all of my travels. people live day to day and they enjoy life regardless of how much they have. hence, why i'm home now and why i'm trying to wear my emotions on my sleeve. my main priorities are to spend time with family and friends, and closely after is to study for MCATs although its still up there. anyway, i was reminded when a customer came in yesterday and talked about how different the US from other countries where people live simple lives and just enjoy what they have. interestingly my mom countered with the delayed gratification bit, which makes sense, but if you have enough to LIVE NOW if you aren't super poor and don't need to slave away at a job, why not enjoy yourself a little. dude, and whos to say you can't do both ya know? i don't meanto say splurge on fancy cars or trips other countries, but just live a little..just a little. yeah i know there are a bunch of caveats to this but like i know what i mean and i'm too lazy to go through times when this wouldnt apply. anyway, the moral of the story is: BE HAPPY. haha, dang i used to be all about working hard for the future. EFF that. i mean i'm still going to sort of, but i'm going to be happy now too. man there are so many dimensions to this, but whatever. hahahahahaha.

anyway, umm. im going to eat lunch with annie and john at noon. maybe work out. then i have work at the restaurant tonight! im currently studying for MCATs. GO OCHEM!!! :D

long time no blog

man what an awesome weekend. here's how it went down. actually let me start with.......friday!

so friday: volunteering at the med center from noon-4pm. came home and showered. THEN GOT PICKED UP BY ANDREW FROM MIDDLE SCHOOOL WHO WAS DRIVING A NICE ASS MERCEDES SLK CONVERTIBLE and we had dinner at wasabi sushi in PB. itw was soooooooo awesome to see him again after a bajillion years! i wanted to meet up with him and some other middle schoolers but that didn't happen. we ate and then had boba at tea station. then he dropped me off, and i drove with annie and john to BUCAS because it was eddie's birthday! 28th! crazyyyyy! it was funnn we saw all the tennis folks and we took shots of patron out the back of someone' s trunk. gooood times.. i freakin had 2 dinners. mommaaaaaa. after that we all split. i went home to get changed because i wanted to go out but i was a little buzzed and i didnt want to drive cuz then i couldnt drink. sooo yeah. i ended up staying at homeeee for the rest of the night. oh and i chatted on the phone!

saturday: woke up around 8am, drove up to irvine. drove with ava to see sexy cousin JENNY who opened up a nail salon/spa place in West Covina! it's called cherry blossom and its suuuper cute! ava and i got pedicures. my first ever!!!!! it was pretty darn awesomeeeee. i was hella giggly when they were scrubbing my feet cuz it tickled! anyway it was a parttyyy! the place was really really nice and sister and i left in the afternoon to meet up with william. we had some RAMEN for lunch! and then i knocked out. i woke up around 6 and they dropped me off at UCI for the 8th annual ROSE PAGEANT, which was coordinated by my awesome friend HUONG. it was an amazzingggg showww!!!!!!!! great lineup of performers and acts and the girls were pretty awesome too! it was pure enteratinment throughout. what an awesome vsa! yayyy vsa!!! =) i also saw huong's dad and brother, who i havent seen in a wihle so it was pretty awesome to talk and catch up with them =) after that, i got picked up and ava and i baked cookies for sunday's thankmsgiving get-tgoetherrrr. then i watched the rest of bourne ultimatum and went to sleeep

sunday: i woke up at like 630am to william talking in korean to scout. lol. i got my booty up and drove back down to san diego to the restaurant around 10am. OHHH, and did i mention i had a dream!?!? i dreamed a freaken NOVEL or rather, i dreamed a MOVIE! like it was supper crazy and intricate and had all these twists and turns....it had aspects of the bourne utlimatum andother shit going on in my life. GOOD TIMES! anyway at the restauarnt, i was suuuper tired but helped out a bit. then ava and william came around...3pmish. we had just eaten some lunch before they came but then they brought hella food - awesomeee stuf too! (mashed papas, candied yams, green bean casserole, honey glazed HAM! and moreee! oh yeah and the cookies! ;) ) so we ate and ate and i felt sooooooooofulll but i kept going. on top of that we had champagne! WOOOOOOOOOOOO from spain! it was greattttt. i really enjoyed it =). it was nice to eat together; it was everyone minus brian. =( plus nikki and william. =) yay for our growing family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =D anyway, we hung and chatted a bit longer. then THIS IS SUPER CUTE! cuz we all had to get gas - the kids that is, so harold/nikki, ava/william, and i drove our cars downt he steret to costco and filled up our gas together. hahaha it was awesome. then when we were done we all split our seaparate ways and rolle ddown our windows yelling goodbye and shit. goood stuff. kodak moment indeed. =) all the other ppl filling up their gas were like wtf?! heheheh gooood times. anyway,i went back tot he resturant and tried to study but nearly fell asleep. i was SUPER tired. then mama and i drove home. =)

im too young

to give relationship advice, particularly for marriages. *sigh*. anyway, i had an awesome day...yesterday. i woke up around 1030am - my bed is so damn comfortable! i ended up snoozing until like 1115am. then i got up, ate real quick, changed, and got to the med center around 12:05 for volunteering. i volunteered till about 4pm. it was pretty awesome. i talked to maybe...7 people total but it was really nice to hear about some of the peopole's concerns instead of mere chatting. anyway, i saw one of the regulars and i took him around the hostpital in a wheelchair! it was awesome. my first victim. it otally warned him in advanced. it was funny cuz we were all making sound effects n stuff. good times. he got bored quick though because there wasn't much to see in the hospital..lol not very scenic. good day, though. at the end of the shift i talked to judy and susan! they're sooooo nice and lovely. =) yayy for awesome people.

then i went rushed home, threw off my shirt (hot, huh?) put on the work shirt, hopped in the van, and went off to work with mis padres. work was pretty darn busy. there were lots of dine-ins, which both my mom and i don't like because it's more work even though you get tips. i tried to do some more of hte work because my mom is getting sick and she's stressed so i was a good daughter! i'mproud that i manned so many tables at once. i was half htere too because i was all pooped. lol. anyway, we made it through the day. when we ate, it was soooo gooooood cuz i was starving! we got home around 10pmish, i showered, and here i am!

woke up around 930. ate. did a practice test for VR. ate. went to volunteer from noon-430. late so i met my parents at the restaurant, stopping first at costco for gas. worked. came home. watched cnn with the padres. saw my daddy off to work. =) i think im going to study o chem tonight maybe. dunnooooooooooo.

I VOTED!

moo wah hahaha. i got up around 930am today, finished filling out my practice ballot, and then walked over to the Clairemont Church of God to cast my vote! There was like NOBODY there. hahaha..woooo. i think 2 people were voting when i got there. =) it was kinda cool filling out the ballot cuz it was like MY VOTEEE and stuff. haha i was kinda excited about voting cuz its my first timeeeeee andmy first presidential election. i was 17 for the last election and couldnt vote. tee hee. so yeppppppp. i voted, got my sticker, and walked back home. since then i've been doing the homework for my mcat class. working on verbal reasoning. DUDE, i suck. all the passages are so freakin hard to read cuz there are big words - for me - and its just hard to follow. i'm also always not too focused too. it'll be hard doing verbal reasoning on the computer because i like writing all over things andmaking notes and stuff. =/ oh welllll i gotta practice. oh and my cousin just called me to tell me about boys. tee hee. YAY! who knows what the rest of the day holds...

yesterday: i tried to study but couldnt focus, so i ran some errands. i went to pick up some hair stuff for my mom, i went to michael's cuz its the best place ever and i bought a little something for annie and meanwhile i talked to my sister for like an hour while iwasthere, then i went to fryz and got toner for the fax machine, and then i came home. i dropped off the goods and then changed and then went to TP to go running with john. then he went off to work and i stayed at the beach and did some studying..for maybe 1/2 an hour.i studysurprisingly well in the car..something i've noticed over the years. then i went home, changed, and then went to work wiht the parents. it was pretty busy for a monday, lots of people callin in orders. YAY! =) at night i chatted with my mama and tried to do some studying..once again only partially focused cuz i waas poopered.

sunday: i worked all day con los padres. we had to go early because there was a party tray order for this dude who was having a baby shower ! so yepp, spent the whole day a tht erestaurant. it was pretty quiet. my dad says that for somer eason, whenver the time is changed, business slows down. sooo yep, pretty quiet. i did some studying. i read my "microterrors" book and also read my rick steve's europe 101 book about european history and art. =) the venus of willendorf..remmember her? tee hee. when we got home we did a little bit of house cleaning.

saturday: in the morning i did alittle bit of cleaning. i also cleared space for the treadmill so that we could use it..and the i used it! hahahah yayyyy. then around 1, i went to meet up with my dad because we were going to get my sister in OC and then go to LA. my dad's friend from army was having a wedding party for his youngest daughter. it was pretty darn COOOOL to meet my dad's friends. you know how like meeting someone's friends tells you about that person? well my dad is pretty darn awesome just as i thought he was cuz he friends were way open and friendly and diverse! and the father of the bride was older than my dad and kept like touching my dad and touching his beard and was soooo happy to see him! =) my other dad's friend was definitely a jokester and kept cracking jokes and this other dude was an awesome artsy fartsy kinda guy who painted water colors and he said he'd show me how too!! iloveeeeeee water colors! i've always thought waterc olors were sooo COOOOOOOOOL! i painted something once for maykim. i thought it was way awesome. lol. oh and there was another dude who could sorta tell fortunes. anyway, yeah, the dinner was great. there was plenty of food, fun people. OH and the music was awesomeee!! the first song was this traditional chiense song that i kenw the words to because my dad listened to it and i sang along...the second was this AWESOMEE old school vietnamese love song thati knew from my days of ..i'm not sure. i think its from when i was in the vietnamese choir at the churchabck in high school lol. it was called uoc gi (or something..i dont know how to spell it). happy halloween!

yesterday was fun. i woke up, did some studying...for a while. watched some TV. did some more studying. went to run errands with my dad. we went to smart&final, food for less - to get a pumpkin!! - and T&L. when we went home, my parenst left for work, i did more studying, and fell asleep. around 5ish, i decided to carve the pumpkin - which loooked SOO AWESOME by the way, it was super crooked and looked like it was smushed on one side - and made a scary jackolanttern face using a pattern. then i put hte pumpkin outisde and lit a candle! woo hoo! i t was super thrilling. oh yeah, i should mention i put batman begins on and watched that cuz it was just me at home and i thought i should party it up with a movie. i had some trick-o-treaters who were way cuteeeee. as i awaited the kiddeees, i decided to make a sign using the easel/chalkboard thing. i got super into and im very proud of my beautiful sign. it says "happy halloween, knock AT YOUR OWN RISK..." most people were like..uhh.whats so scary about you? lol. but some girls got freaked out cuzi was standing right by the door and htey didnt see me. mooo wah hahahahaha. umm..annie came over and we went to check out this carnival by my house. i never knew we had one there, buti guess the church around the corner puts it on. it was cool, we went with my brother and nikki. they were giving out free hotdogs and lotsaa stuff and they had SUPER TALLL people. we didnt spend much time there. then annie and i split and went to yogurt world for some frozen yogurt. then we went back home and watched the rest of batman begins...then we watched mee the fockers. my parents came home and brought annie cream cheese wontons. i ate too. then annie fell asleep and then i fell asleep. eventually we both woke up, annie went home, and i did some studying. lol. wooooooooooo! iti was a pretty chill halloweeen. pretty awesome though. i'm so proud of my decorations!!! =)

today i'm off to LA with my dad and sister for a wedding...the father of the groom was like best friends with my dad back in the days of 'nam. there are a bunch of their other friends there too! i'm happy for my dad. hopefully my sister and i will be entertained too! lol

AT LAST! we went to do something for halloween. we were originally planning the haunted hotel downtown but ended up going to the hauted trails at balboa park. the long was super long but it wsa tootalllly AWESOMEEE!!! kris annie and i went. first we went to the carnival of carnage and it was this big maze thing and clowns came after us. 2 clowns cornered me and annie for a good minute and i just kept screaming and jumping up and down! lol. also, i started doing that with this other scary clown and we just kept jumping up and down together! it was so fun. i ran with my arms flailing and accidentallyhit this scary clown's trumpet - i think i broke it. lol. anyway, it was hillaaaaarioussss. my stomach was hurting so hard from laughing. hahaha. people were very entertained and maybe even slightly annoyed by my screaming cuz i just kept going. oh man. when we got to the hautned trails it was pretty awesome. people chasing us and this dude with a chain saw..i thikn he touched my butt. ahh wells. it was pretty darn cool. all of the scare-ees were like pushing and shoving each other. hahaha. i was all sweaty but laughing the whoel time. goood times. i wish john had come. he woulda had hella fun. instead he went out to la jolla. tsk tsk. then we went to inn-n-out afterward and just unwound..is that the word? yep, and that ended the night...

earlier in the day, i did some stuff. i woke up around...1030, OH WAIT. actually i woke up at 730 to the sound of my car alarm cuz some jackass rode his motorcycle through the neighborhood all loud. lol. so i went to turn off my car alarm outside. the sky was pretty darn awesome..it was still like yellow and the sun had just come out and the sky and clouds were sooo pretty and i could here all the school kids - i live right next to ray a kroc middle school, which is where i went to middle school too! :) anywho, i went back to sleep, woke up around 1030, ate breakfast and watched tv. then i did some studying..then i showered..then i ate with cuzzin julie at thai house down the street. it was all rght..actually it wasn't that great. the service was pretty bad too, but it was cool just catching up with her. we talked about lotsa things..=) afterward we went to target so she could spend her 10% off coupon thingy..i was totally dead and suffering from food coma. then i went home, took a quiz for class, and then i went to class from 6-9pm! oh man. after that i went straight to annie's house, stole some of their food...and the rest is history! :)

tomorrow..or today is halloween. HAPPY HALLOWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENIE! or as i usually say "hoppy holloweeeeen!!!" dunno what today holds. i think i should do some studying because im going to a wedding on saturday with my dad and sister. its for my dad's old friend's kid from the army. i'll probably do some trick-or-treating, some passing out of candy...hmm...yep. lol . yayyyyy for spending holidays at home again! =) yes, halloween is a holiday. :D

quite the day

i woke up around..930am, but my bed was sooo comfortable that i rested there and rolled around a bit until 11am. lol. then i forced myself out, got ready, and went to volunteer at the hospital from noon till 4pm. it was sooo awesome. i helped this one dude find some glasses that he could keeeep so that he could fill out some forms regarding some social services. this other dude was ECSTATIC cuz he hadnt' felt so great in years and was so grateful and appreciative of everythign the hosppital had done for him. another patient was so energetic and full of life and totally hit on me but it was totally cool cuz he was being funny about it. he wanted to go bowling! i used some spanish today, but i totally sucked. i like..completely forgot how to speak or something. some patients could barely speak or stuttered so bad ic ould barely understand. regardless, it was a very rewarding day at the hospital. its hard to get there but once im there its pretty bomb. i volunteered a little longer than usual, rushed home, grabbed the work shirt, and hopped in the car to work at the rstaurant with my parentst. i worked there till......about 10 including clean up and stuff. then we drove home. my dad and i were hungry and ate standing up in the kitchen. i LOVEEE the food i get. i eat sooo well. i totally love it. my parents were just like "whatever you love everything". and i was like..ya darn tootin i do! after that, my dad went to work and i hopped on the comp to check emails and chat the night away. i also have been studying some mcat stuff. this lesson is on gen chem and energy orbitals and stuff! fun timesssss.

tomorrow im running with john, maybe, and having lunch with my cousin - julie. then its mcat class. then hopefully haunted house this time. we'llseee! =)

i love my hair..i just LOVE IT! yay for having long hair...and its healthy! i love my shampoo/conditioner..it makes my hair so sooofftt and smooooooooooooth. i love it!

i qualified for the fee assistance program! yay for having no money! i didnt qualify at first because i filled out the forms wrong, but then i appealed and YAY! thank gooodness. the fee for the mcat is reduced like...$140 and the first 13 med schools i apply to are free..any school beyond that is $30. i'm so excited! what a relief!!! anyway, so today i took care of the paper work for the FAP program..i studied and did the homework in preparation for the MCAT class. lets see..i went out to eat with brian and daddy but we didnt even end up eating cuz the place was closed and my dad kinda blew up at my brother so it was a little awkward. then i went to play tennis with john because i havent exercised in a million years. OH i weighed myself. so my mom had a bet going and it looks liek we both lost. i actually gained a pound over the 2 month period..it actually fluctuated like crazyyyyy because of hawaii. i ate ramen like a mofo. anyway...lets see tennis.. then shower..then rushed off to class. then 3 hours of classss..oh MAN. it was phsyics today..so i get the concepts, but the question format with the passage is pretty darn hard. oy. my brain hurts. DUDE and that block of time 6-9pm, SUCKS cuz i get all hungry. hahaha then its super hard to focus..and i get tired. hehehe. i called my mom to bring me some foooood. so after class, i came home. I REGISTERED FOR THE MCAT!! YAYYYY im taking them on jan 30. i freaked out because there were no spots for jan 31st..NO spots in san diego. looks like everyone wants to take it then..then i was smart i was like OH JAN 30th! and BAM! opening!!! yayyyy. so jan 30 it is! it shouldnt make too big of a difference..its 1 day. and at cost of $85. i'm sooo excited! :) i just talked to dtrieu online! im totally ready for my trip to the bay area...wooot. im getting picked up by justin and dropped off by david. its gonna be a partaaayyyy. sat night is hopefully clubbing in sf, sunday night karaoke, monday doing whatevers. i'll probably be hanging out with david most the day because most people have work. woooot yay for not working! tuesday its flight back home! rob thomas -little wonders

home is where the <3 is. i love it. my family is happy i'm home and i'm happy to be home. i've become quite the listener. my mommy just told me how happy she is that i'm home and it's super dee duper awesome that she has someone to talk to, and little by little i'm talking to my brother more too. =) good times. i'm also being useful at the restaurant...being useful/needed always makes you feel good. i need them too! i need LOVE and HUGS and KISSES! yayyyy. oh home.

anyway, what did i do today?..i woke up around 10. went on the comp, did some prep for the mcat class, mostly physics stuff. then i got sidetracked and started looking up information on how to be empathetic and how to talk to/listen to patients because that's what i do when i volunteer at the hospital. then i started looking at doctor stuff..then i looked at med schools. i looked at the uc davis rural prime program and i totally fell in love again. i dont know if i told many people, but when i first saw the program i was like DUDE this is totally perfect for what i want to do.. 5 year program intended for ppl wanting to practice medicine in rural communities. i think i've kinda wanted to go to uc davis since like..freshman year. when i went to vietnam there was a med school studnet from there and she was pretty smart and then kelly said that uc davis was pretty darn good clincially..thats what i want. i want to go to a school that's good clinically..im not so big on the research aspect. so yep, uc davis. i dont know how i feel about sac-town though. i tried to find similar programs at the other uc's, but they don't quite hvae the same tthing, or the ones that sorta hda it didnt quite have it to the same extent. anyway, yeah uc davis would be cool. =) hmm..after that, i went to help the padres out at the restaurant, from like 430 to 1030. the restaurant closes at 830, but all the closing down and clean up takes forever. oh, there was this couple and they came last time and told us about their trip to malaysia. it turns out they went there cuz the husband had work to do there. the wife was like, 'you should marry someone who has to travel. then you can travel too!' i was like..*sigh* yeahh...that sounds pretty bomb. man..i dont get too excited baout stuff that often, butthe times that i do, often involves traaveling or volunteering. ..like the uc davis program - that totally got my heart pumping..aalso that haiti medical missionaries thing..i never applied because i knew that i wanted to take time off and spend it at home and that at the slight chance that i got accepted, i'd want to go..and itd be june to june next year...so yeah....anyway, we got home. i jumped and danced aroudn the house.. i chatted, checked my email, did some more studying. looks like i'll be having lunch with my cousin on thursday, running with john tomorrow sometime, and lunching with donny sometime next week. OH. i was listening to the song by akon called right now, and my mom heard and she was like "ai yaa, what kind of song is this??" listen to it and you'll see why she said that. lol. hmm.........oh and the song rob thomas - little wonders. it's from meet the robinsons. i asaw it for the first time last week. its sooooooooooo gooooooooooood. sooo cuteeeeeeeee. i loved it. i watched itall by myself on tv! hahaha. okay time for me to sleep. im running in the morning. everyone is sooo proud of my room! =) i bought these penguin salt n pepper shakers and i had them out and annie saw 'em and she was like "awww how cute" and i was like DOH, thosewere part of your present. tee hee. then when john came over, he saw this calendar and he was like..."did i get this for you?" and i was like DOH, that was part of your present. hahahahha. but yeah, i got sidetracked. my room is awesome possum!

wednesday - volunteering from noon-about 4. then i got a call from my mom cuz she wanted me to work at the restaurant..so i worked from about 5-830. then i went home and was poopered.

thursday - i woke up pretty late. i studied for a little bit. then i went to play tennis with john and ended up hitting with nghia and eddieeee!!!!!! yay!!! then i rused home and i worked from about 5-830 with the padres.

friday - i ate dim sum with annie and john. it was supposed to be breakfast butSOMEone lagged so it ended up being a late lunch. lol. oh, i sorta dressed up too! just for fun. we tried to go to hash house and even paid for parking but they were closed for maintenance. then john went to work and annie and i ran errands @ office depot, staples, took john's watch in to replace the battery...then went to annie's house..then went to my house..did a 3D puzzle of "stony mill creek" and watched simpsons until the wee hours of the night. plans for the hautnted house fell through not surprisingly. oh, john made a visit over before he went out for the evening. what a good boy! my parents brought home some deeeelicious food from the restaurant and annie and i atttacked and devoured it all...we also ate plain boba balls. yummmyyyyy. =)

saturday - i worked all day with my mom and dad. derek came in around..2? then i studied and hung out. =) oh, i designed this cover for the tip jar. i think its very eye catching! its super bright and on sunday, a customer totally was like whoa what's this and then put money in it! :D yayyy i was super tired too. in the morning i was being a pig and trying to eat while my mom fixed my hair and then i laughed and spilled soup on my pants. teeee heee. i was being clumsy all day!

sunday - i worked all day with my mom. it wasn't too busy so i studied a bit. it was a lot busier than usual in the evening. lots of visitors. ava and will came down and we did pumpkin carving. it was sooo awesomeeeeee because they had all these fancy tools. i carved MICKEY MOUSE GOING TRICK-OR-TREATING! ITS SOOOO COOOOOL! im super excited. =) and super proud! OH, and a happy moment was when i was waiting on this dude who only had like..a meal for $6.45, but he tipped $3. oh happy day! =) oh yeah, and the good-looking guy came in today! everyone knows him as the good-looking smart guy cuz he's all young and goodlooking and hard-working and like going to be a teacher and pretty darn cool.i think he's divorced or something..but he's super young! crazy eh? lol even my mom gets all giggly. hahaha.


im so darn poopered. i just watched kung fu hustle. it was supposed to be watched as a family but we didnt get home till like..11, and my mom went straight to sleep, and my dad watched a little on and off with me but he has to get up early. it was fun though. hahah. yay!

mmmmmh. i just ate a grapefruit. i think it's from...texas. =) man, what a day. i woke up around 10am and went off to thetoyota dealer to get my car checked out since the check engine light has been on. i waited there for about 1.5 hours for them to do the diagnostic and figure out what was wrong. they have this guest services area and it was just like the stacks @ green library so i studied genchem there while i waited. it turned out i had to have several things done - a new air fuel ratio sensor and more brake fluid. i took the courtesy shuttle home and then CLEANED like mad! YAY i cleared off my bed finally and now i can sleeeep on it! it was filled with clothes before. i'm sooo excited. my parents are so proud of me because i've done so much cleaning in the past few days! =D. anyway, around 2 i got a call and went with my dad around 230 to go pick it up. GOSH it was darn expensive. it cost about $412 buckarooooos...AND MY DAD PAID FOR IT! ahhhhh. i was like noooo daddyy..and he was like its okayyy. EESH. so yep, i got my car and then i went to go fill up on gas. i used up all the money in my wallet for it -$40! then i came home...then i continued cleaning. i saw my parents off to work and then took a break and ate a grapefruit. im beat.

oh, so the awesome thing about not being too busy all the time is that you have to think about things..unfortunately last week i had too much time and thought tooo much, but anyway, as i've been cleaning i've come across old cards and stuff from schoolmates in elementary school/middle school/high school..boy i was sure loved by friends and i totally loved them too. i was sad when i left my middle school friends...sooo sad that i didnt make ANY new friends the first year, which ended up being good cuz i put the energy towards school and reading..i won the millionaire's club reading thing for reading so much and i got 4 year passes to sea world..oh 8th grade. that was hard...leaving home for college was hard too. i was totally ready to leave san diego because i thought that leaving home is what you gotta do to grow up but my friends...oy i was so sad. they were so sad. i was one of the lucky ones..i already had lifelong friends at homee . the lifelong friends that people said you met in college, i already had. =) <3 anyway, then i went off to college and made a bunch of awesome friends and now i'm home again and i miss 'em. *sigh* anyway, this whole paragraph kinda got off track. all i wanted to write about was this memory that i recalled while i was waiting at the toyota dealer. when i was like..in 3rd grade and i was playing boggle with some friends while i was in daycare, and i think the teacher , too, and i came up with the word "molecule". it was awesome. hehe, that's all. i didn't know what it meant but i knew that it was a word. woo hoo. go me. i used to be such a smart kid. hahah, but anyway, it's been pretty awesome cleaning up and finding old treasures. i found this book that i made when i was in 8th grade. i wrote that when i grew up, i wanted to have "at least one PhD". HAHAHAHA. i didnt even know what a PhD was. lol. also, i wrote that in 20 years, i'd be living with my mom and dad at home. we have yet to see how that story unfolds... =)

OH on the subject of BOYS... no one mentioned it, but i just think about them 22/7. i already wrote about this but my mom's friend wanted to introduce me to her boy. sounds like they've been suckin up to my mom. hahahaha. it's pretty entertaining..and then when my mom told her i have a bf, she was like..oh, too bad. but they should still meet each other. hahaha.

my brain hurts. i want to drive up to orange county to hang out with my sister for a few hours. it doesnt take long to get there..but my gas. =( plus i have to be back down here tomorrow for volunteering. wooooo. volunteering is fun but the thought of going is kinda like..blah. hahaha. anyway, what am i to do today...i dont know! =D

let me write about yesterday..i went to sleep sunday @ 5am. i woke up at 11am. i cleaned and cleaned and then went to run errands with my dad. then i came home and cleaned some more. at some point i ate..then i was going to go running with john but he was going somewhere kinda far and i didnt want to drive..so i cleaned. then..around 8pmish i did some mcat studying. i read about the elements and quantum numbers. it's kinda cool to be going through this stuff again. i think i'm getting it better now that i did before, which makes me super happy! =) i studied until about...11 or 12. then i cleaned up and went on the computer for a bit and then slept!

i shouldnt have this much energy!

its 326am and im still awake and i still have energy. my body is tired by my brain still wants to keep going! i've been cleaning for the past few hours...for the past..5 hours, actually! woo hoo! i hardly ever have the urge the clean so i decided to go full force today! =) lol, my mom just woke up. crazy eh? dear me. anyway, on writing about this weekend cuz it was pretty darn awesome. OH, let me start with friday. i'm not sure if i wrote about it yet. meanwhile, i should write that my family drives me nutso sometimes. lol my brother has been talking on the phone for like..EVER. omg. OKAY, anywhooooo...

FRIDAY:
i went shopping with my mom. i was half asleep so i felt kinda bad that i couldn't give it my best effort, but we went all over the place. we went to target, a restaurant supply store, pumped gas, mervyns, longs drugs, fashion valley to jc penney, then we ate pho!!! yummmmm. =) afterward, we both knocked out for a few hours because we were so tired. then my mom went off to work and i...i think i went on the computer for a little bit. then i brough some carne asada fries over to annie and hung out there. i was doing some studying for my real estate class while annie played starcraft. lol. then we watched the simpsons, season 8. then john came over and then went off to dinner with his friends and then we MADE HIM COME BACK even though it was super out of his way because i totally wanted to go costume shopping. annie and john were being booger butts cuz neither of them really wanted to go. lol. i didnt care because i wanted to and so we all went together! =) we didnt really find anything so we went to mcdonalds and picked up ice cream cones and went back to the house. yay ice cream!! then john went out and annie and i knew that we were doomed. we were originally supposed to go to the haunted hotel in downtown but everyone bailed. anyway, annie ended up playing starcraft the rest of the night while i studied. oh boy. lol.

SATURDAY:
i woke up around 10 to my mom trying on different outfits. we were to go to her coworker's wedding and my mom decided last minute she wanted to wear a different outfit. i immediately called my sister and asked her to come down asap. lol, i suck with matching and knowing what looks good. anywho, my sister finally got down looking soooo cute!, my mom figured out her outfit, i threw on a sheet - it was hawaiian themed wedding and i guess i wore a sarong like thing - and then we busted a move. it was pretty nice going out with my mom and sister - the females ya know. the wedding ceremony was short and sweet - both of them had been married before and knew what was up. everyone was reallyl chill and lax. it was cool to see a bunch of old people in hawaiian gear, drinkin and dancing. the weather was gorgeous. it took place at bali hai restaurant in shelter island..a gorgeous view of san diego bay. coronado bridge in the distance. downtown across the way. i met all my mommy's friends...they were nice. one of them was excited to meet me and wanted to introduce me to her son. she was like "do you have a boyfriend?" and before i could answer she turned to my mom and was like "does she have a boyfriend?" and my mom said "no" and i was like ahhhhhhhhh mommyyyyy nooooooooo. so she was like ohh im going to bring my son and we'll go down to your restaurant and meet up. i want to introduce her to my son. i was like OH BALLS. anyway, itold my mom later to tell her that i did have a boyfriennd...that i had lots n lots..anyway i just told my mom to get me out of it. lol. she understood. =) yay mommy. oh, and the lady pulled me up to dance and we did the electric slide. i was happy that my mommy could see my dance but it was kinda weird. oh, and i drank champagne - my glass, then my sister's, then i started working on my mom's. lol. anyway, afterward, we went to target to look around - it was recently remodeled!!! then we went home and hung out and chatted up a storm. it was nice and relaxing..we hadn't done that in a while. then we met up with a friend of my mom's who was going to teach her how to make pho. we all went to 99ranch and rapidly bought the ingredients for the pho. it was cuhrrazyyy but fun.. we were runnig around grabbing ingredients. oh how i love my mom and my sister! afterward, we drove up tot he restaurant and hung otu for a bit. then i went with my sister back up to orange county because the next day was dane dane and karina's birthday party! (cousin jenny's kids). we made a quick stop to return stuff at kohl's and then drove up. i loveee drives with my sister. we have a chance to talk about EVERYTHING - family, relationships, life. gosh. it's great. anywho, we got back up and found a drunk william waiting for us. lol his face was red. hedrakn like 2 bottles of wine! HAHA oh william. anyway, he taught me how to make a bloody mary, which I TOTALLY THOUGHT was a sweet drink. since i decided ididnt want one, he taught me how to make a white russian and made me one. mmmh...him and ava went to sleep early while i stayed up late and watched the departed. its JUST LIKE the hong kong version! it was crazy. anywho, ididnt sleep until like..3? but alas i did.

SUNDAY:

i woke up around 945am. ava and william were already awake and chattin. i cleaned up, wrote dane and karina's cards while ava prepared their gifts. we had bagels for breakfast, and then we busted a move to get to arcadia. the party was at JUMP& JAMMIN'! it was pretty darn cool. not quite what i expected but coool. there was this playplace sorta thing with airpressured guns that all pointed towards the middle where u could shoot squishy balls at people in the center. i was sooo BIG but i was able to squeeze through the little obstacles. lol. william was getting ALL into it! hahaha so funny the astro jump was BOMBBBBB. i jumped sooo high. there were a bunch of other activities. dane and karina were soooo freakinnnnnnn cuteeeeeeeeeee. im soo glad that we're family. lol. the theme was super mario brothers and cuzzin jenny made the cutest party favors and piranha plants for the tables. she so darn creative! what a fun partyyy!!! it lasted from about 11-1. afterward, ava will and i split and we went to trader joe's to pick up pumpkins to carve! i haven't carved pumpkins since like...early high school..if even that. lol.

--interjection: my brother is being such a jerk right now. my parents made pho for the first time - like the restaurant style pho - and my dad was like come out and try it..and my brother just kept listening to his music and ignored him..my dad asked him like 3 times to go out and try it..like nicely...what a jerk. he isn't always a jerk but he's being one right now. whatever, now he is going to sleep. UGH. i hope he gets his act together soon. i love him but sometimes he's such a meanie.

anyway, back to the day. after we picked up pumpkins and snacks, we drove back to the apartment, picked up some stuff, and then rolled on down to san diego to the restaurant. it was pretty quiet so we went to costco real quick to get some stuff. i ended up buying "the end of poverty" and a calendar i might give to john cuz it complements a book i gave him last year. i'm a sucker for books. oh man. anyway, we went back to the restaurant, dined a bit, and then i finished off helping out (i was supposed to help out the whole day but i ditched for the party =( .) ava and william went to target and then went to check out my truck @ home cuz it's been having some problems. i gotta take it in later today to get checked out. but umm..yeah it was so cute cuz when they were leaving, my dad gave william a hug and william was all like beaming..and he was like gushing with joy and then william gave me a hug. it was way cute. oh man...

soo..yep, as soon as i got home, i felt the urge to clean. i really want to make our house look like a home isntead of a storage space. i know my parents are too busy to do it, so i gotta stop being so lazy and cleannnnn. oh yeah, my parents really want some more help at the restaurant so i really want to step up and help with management cuz they be some hooligans at the restaurant...they be causin extra stress for mis padres..dem bitches. anyway, i dont really have experience with it, but im willing to give it a shot if it'll help. im currently scheduled for sundays...i already planned on doing monday evenings, too...and if i do management i would do any day 11-3pm. i just gotta figure out how much i want to work. eeek. eh anyway, it's totally worth it if it relieves some stress..and of course i know not to let it get in the way of my studies. =) so yeah, i gotta think about that. anyway, i think im all caught up! my mom is getting ready for work, brian is sleeping or pretending to..and i think my dad already headed to bed and is watching tv. good times. i think im finally starting to feel tired. yay! okay, tis all for now. good night =)

good day

yesterday i woke up..did some cleaning..went running with john at torrey pines - we did an extra hard run, and not on purpose! lol. we did find some new trails! wooo hooo - then we ate lunch at souplantation..then john went to work and i went to the carmel valley public library..i studied for almost 2 hours reading up on gen. chem...then i talked to sister ava for about 1/2 an hour about stuff...then went home..showered - it felt great! - and then relaxed and ate..then annie and kris came over. we were supposed to go to the asian film festival to watch a movie but we were all lazy..john flaked on us...anyway we did a starcraft puzzle!!!! and watched deep rising and higher learning..crazyyyy stuff! then i chatted up a storm on the computer. lol. =)

today was my first day volunteering! boy, am i poopered. it was a pretty neat day - there were some awesome moments, not so awesome, and some dull moments, but it was definitely a good mix. i talked to a BUNCH of patients, although i only had a few long conversations. it was cool because this one lady who we saw on monday who could barely talk and didnt really want to talk was up today and eating and we had a super long conversation about nothing really in particular. she could only say yes/no for themost part..she tried to talk a few times buti felt so bad because 1)my hearing SUCKSSS and i could barely hear her 2)she tried so hard. anyway, i thnk she enjoyed my company. i felt like such a dork, but i was super peppy and smiled a lot. i was like "do you like art?" "ME TOO!" and like..."dont you just love san diego?". she was a cute elderly lady but had little of her motor skills intact..she needed help eating. anyway, i was glad i could keep her company! that was one of my high moments. oh this other dude was really appreciate too! he kept cracking jokes and i was like, can i help u with anything..and he was like, yeah i need a girlfriend. lol. and he kept cracking jokes with the nurses/drs as they gave him a shot on the tooshie. lol. i havent used that word in a long time. oh and did i tell you that i totally used me spanish!?!? it was awesomeee! i saw this one patient again later, and she was like "that's my girl! she speaks spanish!" lol. so cuteeee. oh and i had to wear a gown and gloves when i talked to her. pretty neato. so my more sad moment when i was talking to this dude who i guess suffered from confusion. he was upset because he said no one would listen to him and he asked me to get his belongings and i couldnt because the belongings that he requested were his home city and the people in it. =/ anyway, i wasn't sure quite what to do so i went along with it and then left the room. =/ *sigh*..even confused people still have a right to know when they are getting discharged and to know about their care. aiiya...anyway, so overall it was a pretty good day! pretty draining because i was totally focused and listening and attentive to everyone. OYY. i actually felt pretty finsihed around 3, because i had already walked around a few times, but i just kept going and i filled the time. lol. oh i should also mention that the nurse assistants/nurses and pretty much all the staff i interacted with..they were all pretty awesome and helpful. =) it was definitely a good day. i think in addition to being able to just chat with the patients i need to remember that i'm supposed to be an "advocate" so i gotta make sure that their needs are being met and all that good stuff. it was great to see people who were so debilitated but who were so optimistic! man..inspirational. i was really sad to hear the story of someone who couldn't work due to illness and jsut didn't have the means to take care of her family. she was getting welfare but i t just wasn't enough. she wanted to apply for disability but they need her medical records from years past, and to retrieve the files would cost her 100s of dollars, so she's sorta stuck. =/ i wish i knew where she could get resources for help but she was already working with a social worker. **sigh**. hopefully it works out okay. anyway, just wanted to do a quck reflection! i'm off!

the days just blend together

today i went to get some training in at the medical center for my volunteering. it was pretty neat-o and the other volunteer was super nice and awesome and i can totally see why she's a perfect volunteer. =) that lasted a few hours. i called john to go running but when he called back i was about to eat and so was he. lol. so i spent a few hours on the computer. i watched the rest of 'too beautiful to lie' a korean movie..so awesome! =) i laughed i cried..it was awesome. then annie came over with kris and we watcheed the simpsons. good times. then kris fell asleep on the couch and annie and i snuck off to inn-n-out. she tried to say that everytime she was with me she had the urge for inn-n-out. pshh..lies! hahahah i love that girl..sooo much. when we came back kris was in the same position as we had left him lol. they headed out round 1115. meanwhile i spent a long while staring at the ceiling...and now here i am! i keep replaying the ending of the korean movie because it just makes me so happy. =) now i'm off to..im not sure. stare at the ceiling maybe.

i am of the will/spirit biopsychotype..

lol. i've been trying to figure out why i've been so down in the dumps. i think it's the weather...i'm not sure but i think it happens every year. furthermore, i decided to approach it from an traditional chinese medicine pov and i busted out my medical acupuncture book from when i took TCM a few years ago. i looked through the book and categorized myself as this particular will/spirit biopsychotype - there are 3 types, people usually have traits of all 3 but they are usually can identify most strongly with one - and i think i got an imbalance of some elements in me. maybe too much water...i have lots of wood and water elements in me. hahah i love this. anyway, i need to relax mentally and stop thinking so much..and it EVEN SUGGESTED i go dancing and singing! how awesome is that. i've totally had these urges..it also said that people of the will/spirit biopsychotype are sensitive to the seasons...and i've totally been complaining about the weather change, or maybe that was part of the other biopsychotype. i have a lot of the vision/action biopsychotype traits in me, too, but i think will/spirit dominates. anyway, to resolve this, i'm going to go dancing once a week. lol. great solution eh? oh, also in my quest to relax, i'm supposed to surround myself with people i actually like being with. i think i'm doing pretty good with that. =) hahahah. fun times! i crack myself up. the other day i wanted to dance so bad that i just started doing the running man in the living room by myself with no music and i just started cracking up. HAHA. okay, anyway, i'm off. later today i have training at the ucsd medical center - woo hoo, i'm finally starting to volunteer. im nervous, but excited!

movies!

i picked up annie from the video store, we picked up inn-n-out, and then we watched movie the whole night. we watched 'the holiday' - so cutesy! - and 'sex and the city'. i never thought i'd watch that second movie. it was entertaining though. too much sex for our eyes. =/ anyway i'm super tired. i started babbling to annie and i didnt even know what i was saying. i just dropped her off and i felt like i was driving drunk. i'm so pooopered. i gots to get to sleep! i have work tomorrow!!!!!!! ahhhh. =) good night. sweet dreams.

so i went crazy a few days ago...

and it was totally cuz i was pms-ing. i gotta keep a mental note of that. when i go crazy involuntarily, it's cuz i'm pms-ing. heehe. so yeah im pretty tired cuz i just started mi periodo today. anyway, i stayed up late with my momma doing restaurant stuff last night (3am!)and woke up today at 11am. i ate a little, watched a lil news, chatted a lil, then i went to meet up with john for lunch. we had thai foood. mmmmh. we chatted up a storm cuz he went to blizzcon and he caught me up on all the latest news. then afterward i went to pick up my mom from work so that we could go shopping for her outfit for the wedding. i was uber tired. then i hugn out at the restaurant, helped out cuz it got a tad bit busy, and then left around 630 cuz john and i were supposed to go running. anyway by about 7 we decided it was wayy toooo cold and freakin DARK to run. so eff that. :) im chatting with gordon online now, i finished my padthai from lunch, and im tryingto figure out what to do. it's perfect weather to cuddle up with someone, watch a movie, and drink hot chocolate. hence, why i just texted annie. woooo. gosh i guess i should study but i just dont feel like it! :)

once in high school, my advisory teacher/robotics team leader, who was a pretty cool teacher said to me "boris, you're always smiling but i can never tell if it's a happy or a sad smile." yep, i'm just that good. lol. it was just a thought. oh, and i'm not likening myself to the mona lisa, just using it cuz someone in that conversation it came up. lol. anyway, he was a cool teacher. im going to invite him out to lunch on tuesday. goood night! man, my momma works sooo hard. she's still doing work right now and it's freakin 230 in the morn. *sigh* i wish i wish i wish she didn't work so hard and she could be happy and enjoy her life. same goes for my dad. i wish he could be happy and healthy and get enough sleep and enjoy his life and decorate and redesign the house and get a scion and cute little car and not have to worry about how much room is in the back to carry restaurant supplies.

that's RIGHT. haha and she said im lucky i'm tall. lol. i know i'm lucky i'm tall. shoot. the one plus of gaining weight is that your boobs get bigger. can i get an amen? thank you. hahah oh man. i'm so glad i have this blog. everyone's out cuz it's friday night..and i just just just jusssttt got paid..bow chicka bow wowww. anyway, today was more eventful than uhh...the day that i did nothing but sleep. lol. i woke up this morning, got my paperwork ready and went to the hospital to turn it in and got my badge to volunteer. i start next week! whew! it's gon be cuhrazyyy. hahah i hope they expect too much of me. i mean, i'm nice and friendly but im a bit socially awkward so talking to people just to talk i might not be so great at. lol, well we'll see! after that i went to target and applied for a job. yep, that's right. TARGET. i was too lazy to fill out all my work experience so i just put the restaurant down..didn't fill out any volunteer experience or extracurriculars..and put mesa community college for my education studying real estate. tee hee. the target is pretty near my house. they totally redid it and it looks BOMB. it was closed for the past few months or so. i know cuz my sister and i tried to go SEVERAL times. oy. anyway, after that i came baack home...caught up on the news. the world is falling apart. major drama for your mama. took a nap. went with my dad to T&L, a restaurant supply warehouse with food and other goods. the owner lady was like "wahhh you brought the pretty girl with you. your daddy loves you so much.la la la la" all in chinese. yeah, so EVERYONE knows me as like daddy's girl - cuz i am - and i follow him wherever he goes, when i can that is. i think im one of the closest kids to my dad cuz i spent the most time with him. there was a break when he wasn't working hardcore and he drove me all over the place, all over so cal, for tennis tournaments and stuff. also at that time he drove me to school everyday and picked me up. so yeah, major bonding time. plus, we are both sporty and he says a lot of my traits are like his. lol. everyone says i look like my dad. i'm even getting a big belly like him. hahaha. anyway, so i hung out with my dad to run errands for the restaurant. then i came home and did some paperwork for the restaurant. then, my parents went off to the restaurant for work. i was going to go but i've just been so LAZY. anyway, instead...i did some more reading up of stuff. i read up on the secondary mortgage market in my real estate book. then i started studying physics. o the joy of free-body diagrams. they remind me of...10th grade. i took a pre-engineering class and we designed and built bridges and calculated tension in our models. fun times. =) that was the year my friends and i built a bomb ass bridge! hahah did you know i thought i was going to go into engineering? then i just went to stanford, forgot about it, and just did what everyone else was doing. lol. i wonder what happened.. lol. anyway, whatever. when i went back to visit my high school the first year of college, my principal was like, dude, go into research. lol. i was like uhhh...yeah, right. lol. i guess i shoulda explored it more. if i was smart, i woulda kept working at the scripps research institute cuz it was pretty bomb working with the cool korean post-docs and in the immunology dept! wooo. anyway, i steered away from engineering and from research and somehow passed the time and got a bio degree! WOOO. man, i totally got off-track...

yeah so i studied physics. then the parents came back. i busted out this easel that my sister and i bought at IKEA for the restaurant. it is a whiteboard on one side and a chalkboard on the other. i <3 chalkboards and the texture and the way chalk looks on them. i also watched the news with my dad until he had to leave for work again around 11pm. then......i helped momma fold laundry...and now im trying to help my momma figure out what to wear for her co-workers wedding we're going to next saturday. it's hawaiian themed. =)

SUCKKK

hahaha i thought i had mcat class today so i went but they were like..it's next week. bitches! HAHAHA. whatevers. anyway, fun times. i went running earlier with john. "running". lol. good times. :) i didnt wear sun block so i'm sorta mi dang now (mi dang = black). pooopers. so im trying to decide if i should get a part-time job at target. i think it might be fun. lol. =)

yesterday was spent doing stuff for mcat class, studying real estate and finishing up last quizzes, sleeping, and chatting it up. man, the weather is really really warm here. im so surprised. its already october but its hot as ever. lol. it does get darker earlier but dang the past few days have been ridiculous. anyway, it was awesome chatting yesterday. i talked to drunk justin, gadson, and hten THAOOOOO, who i've known since 3rd grade. we're gonna hang out soon, a dinner date next friday. she goes to UCR. anyway she was telling me that her siblings and her parents always ask about me. i'm so touched. i forget that people care about me..or like..ya know? sometimes i feel pressure because there's lotsa attention on me and sometimes i completely forget, which is a really good thing. anyway, she is SUPER sweet. we were in the same group in elementary and middle school. there were 4 of us: kim (i've known her since i was 3i from pre-school and we were both in daycare together), phuong (since 1st grade, she kissed me on the cheek cuz she thought i was soo cute and so she had to pull a card lol), and thao (who came onto the scene in 3rd grade). we grew up together. :) good times. anyway, so it was awesome talking to her and catching up. i miss her family. her brother binh and sister phi went to my school - preuss. sooo cuteeeeeeeeeeeee. :) anyway, i watched THEM grow up. pretty awesome. :)

i woke up around 915 today. for some reason i had the urge to look through my chile pictures, so i went through all of them and named the folders. dang, its so hard to believe how much i traveled. i wonder if i'll ever travel like that again. if i don't, at least i have memories of doing so. :) i'm eating food that my dad brought home from the restaurant - fish and vegetables and chicken and rice! yummmmmmmmmmmmmmm. ;) i'm going to go running in a few hours with john and then later tonight i have mcat class. wooooo.

in training

i've been trying to get myself to wake up early, but the earliest I've done so far is 9am. anyway some updates...yesterday i went to costco with john and i went to my first MCAT class. how exciting. the whole time consisted of a diagnostic MCAT test but it was still nice to be back in a classroom setting and using my brain...using my brain more than anything. i realize that the conversations i have concerning my feelings about certain events really capture my feelings, so here are some conversations i had after class that capture my emotions about the MCAT class:

fall

i guess i never really appreciated the beauty of the fall season. the days are getting shorter and the weather is getting cooler. it rained a few days ago. anyway, for as long as i can remember, fall = start of school. now that i am a bum, i think i am really starting to realize the loveliness of autumn. this weather totally makes me think of halloweens past, particularly high school halloweens...like the one that i spent working late on robotics with the team and screaming "HOPPY HALLOWEEEEN" all over school. this season also reminds me of my first boyfriend and the awkwardness and newness of it all. im excited about halloween this year. annie and i are going to get dressed up and go trick-or-treating and to haunted houses. it'd be pretty awesome to go to vegas for halloween...but that prolly wont happen. OH, and we going to carve pumpkins. =) yay. hahaha. im so glad i keep a blog.

a moment of deja vu

good morning! i went to sleep in my momma's room, just like old times, but this time without my parents. lol. i was going to sleep outside but my mom said it's getting colder so she prepared her bed for me. OMG it's sooo awesome! it's normally unused and covered with stuff -papers etc. =) and just like old times they both woke me up with arguing. hahaha nothing major. ahhh being home again. anyway i woke up several times. around 9, some girl came knocking on my brother's window - he sleeps in the room next to my mom's. the girl came in all loud..but dont be mistaken, i'm in good spirits. i haven't slept for over a few hours in a while and it feels great! the bags in my eyes are like totally sinking into my face. it's kinda cool but kinda scary cuz my face has been kinda pale. lol. =) anywho, yesterday i worked all day at the restaurant and then spent the evening reading 'guns, germs, and steel'. the restaurant was BOMB because even though i was half dead i laughed a whole lot andi never heard my mom laugh so much..and my sister at that! ava came down for a few hours in the afternoon and harold and gf nikki came for a few hours too. anyway, we laughed the first time because my mom and i ran into each other and she touched my boob. HAHAHAHAHAHA. i fell on the floor rollin and my mom was laughing so hard that she was crying and my sister was in the corner laughing so hard that no sound came out. it was great!!!!!!!!! and then my mom was laughing when she looked at hte hawaii picutre cuz you can see william's (ava's bf) nipples in the pictures and she kept pointing them out and LAUGHING. HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA. that's my mom! hahahahahaha. and then later throughout the day just references to the earlier incidents and then cracks about touching boobs. HAHAHAHAAHA. fun times! anyway, sister left and i went home with the parents. i planned on reading my real estate book, but i saw the guns, germs, and steel book and i was like..hmm..im going to read that! so i just got through the prologue but its sounds soooo awesome!!!! yay for history!i wish i was a beter history tsudent. when i was going through school and had history classes, i didn't think dates were important. i was like..there's no way they want us to learn all these dates, so i just remembered events, barely. hahahaha yep. anyway, my plan for today is to run errands for my parents, read, and...maybe go run. i gained 5 pounds from hawaii! i wouldn't give a damn except (1) i can totally tell -and so can my mom, (2) i have a bet running with my mom over who can lose more weight in 2 months. BALLLLS! pre-hawaii we were both TIED. i think another trip to vegas would be good. ;) DANG, guess what? i have no money! i paid off major bills, paid for my trip to hawaii, paid for MCAT classese, gas...i dont think i've ever had as little money as I do now! HAHAHAHAHA. it's great! :) im going to stay poor for a long long time! OH, dude! i got $25 in tips yesterday! wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. hahahahaha. okay anyway, time to get the day started!

time to get back on track

i just dropped annie off at home. we watched 'then she found me' and before that 'leatherheads' but we didnt really see any of leatherheads because we spent forever trying to get mee-ka the cat into his carrying bag thiingi so that kris could take him home. it was MADNESSSS. it was pretty sad and painful but the cat was going cuhrazy and we basically forced him into the bag -i nearly got bitten, well i guess i sorta did. oh well. :) kris has cubby-bear aka chubby and mee-ka now. hopefully it'll be okay. he's takin them back to his apt at school in pomona. having pets for a day and a half was a fun experience. i think pets are fun but i dont have a strong urge to keep them seeing as how i never grew up with them. they're a pretty big responsiblity too. oh boy. anyway, about the day...i woke up several times early EARLY this morning cuz i was sleeping with chubby and he woke up and started moving around and each time i was like OH SHOOT he's gotta poo/pee so i hopped up and took him for a walk. i pretty much got up at 7am. i let the cat out and watched the cat and dog. i talked some with brother brian. OH i watched the rest of friends! OH MAN, everyone lied to me about the ending. lol. it made me so happy. good times. after that i showered - the last time i showered was like...3 days ago! umm...i took lots of naps..went on the computer..took the dog for lots of walks...saw brother harold and his gf nikki...finally cracked down and got to studying and took 1 of my quizzes...then went to the video store, picked up annie, and watched movies waiting for kris to show up and then sending off the animals. :) oh i also talked to ava on the phone...she might come down tomrorow. woot

anywho, im way poopered. i have to go to work tomorrow at the restaurant. partayyyy. ia ctually dont mind cuz its bonding time with the parents and plus, i havent been into work in like 3 weeks. lol. im exciting about my MCAT classes starting on tuesday! woohoooo. :) time to use my brain again. :D okay is all for now. wan an.

what a day!

im back home in sd. i drove home this morning after like 3 hours of sleep and went straight to pick up annie and we went to pick up the cat and dog from kyle. im keeping them hostage at my house for like 2 days because the owners are very elderly and are currnetly in the hospital. they're friends of annie's bf kris and he's going to pick them up from me tomorrow. they are soooo cute! i've never had a cat or a dog before so im sorta excited, well more poopered than anything but they're way cute. the dog is about 13 years old, partially blind and partially deaf, and he thinks he's a cat. his name is cubby-bear but i call him 'chubby'. teehee. i got annie all confused too. lol. the cat is so preetty. his name is mee-ka. my house is totally not made for animals because its sooo cluttered and there's stuff everywhere but they're such goood animals. anyway, we picked up the animals from kyles - i saw kyle and bruce! yay - and then we picked up so jbox cuz i was starvvinngggg and sleep deprived. then we went to my house and watched friends till nightfall. lol. we worked on one of my looney tunes puzzle -1000 pieces, I LOVEEEE PUZZLES, I ALSO HAVE THE 3D ones; they're so addicting!!!! - and actually finished it. kris came over and hung out too. it was a party. on top of that, brother brian's friend jeff was there and it was sooo funny cuz he got sucked in to watching friends and then didnt want to leave. lol. we had season 9 and 10! moo wah haha thanks to annie. another of brian's friends came, erwin, and then it was a super big party. anyway, it was a real chill day. annie and i got inn n out around 1030pm ;) and then i dropped annie off at home around midnight. partyyyyyy. :D as if i need another vacation. oh here are pictures from hawaii:

aloooooohaaaaa

SHAKA! what up bras? HAHA. so i spent the past week in hawaii. it was pretty darn neat and i had a lot of fun with my sister and her bf william. i will admit i felt kinda alone cuz its a pretty darn romantic kinda place and i didnt have a "honey." lol. we went to this timeshare preesntation to get a $100 discount on a trip to kauai and the guy was like, "you need a honey." and i said "yes, i'm going to get my some honeys." ahah funny. anyway, it was ooo so very beautiful and very relaxing..quite teh vacation although needless to say, i didnt really need one. :) yes, im the biggest fattest bum EVER. ahhh. oh, and CUP NOODLES and RAMEN were prolly the food of the trip.  oh and we made several trips to costco! and wal-mart i must admit.  anyway, on to what we did.

thursday (9/25)

drove to LAX @ like 7 in the morning and departed round 815. arrived in hawaii 5 hrs later, but since we are 3 hrs ahead here, it was only like 11am or sometin. anyway, we arrived, picked up our rental car - a jeeep! and then drove to the hotel - marriott, baby! right across the way from the beach. it had the most beautiful view of the water and we had a balcony. greeeeeat times. we got lunch at lulu's, the last place we had eaten in hawaii last time. :) yuuummmmmy! then we walked along waikiki along the beach, took pictures, got kona cofffee and just walked.  then at night we drove to costco and wal-mart and picked upsome food and cupnoodles among othe things. we ate dinner on the balcony and just relaxed the rest of the night. :)

friday (9/26)

we woke up in great spirits, and very early i might add cuz of the time difference.  there was a rainbow too! sooo awesome. ;)  on our way to breakfast, we came across a salesperson for htis activities compnay. he was a really good salesperson from new york and told us about a kauai trip and said he could save us dinero if we went tot this time share presntaiton.  after a long battle, we agreed to it, but ont without some additional incentives - 2 $30 coupon books for restaurants  and about $100 savings each on our trip to kauai. :)  woooooo. afterward we hurriedto breakfast cuz we was huuungry. we had it at seaside bar and grilll. i got coconut pancake breakfast and my sister go tthe special and billy bob got...i cant remember but another breakfast platter thing. it was good. lol it was funny cuz on te menu it says that there's a $1 charge for ppl not eating and if u share drnks, u gotta pay too. fun times. :)  after that, we went on our adventurous hike to manoa falls! it wasfunny cuz it that place experienced a 2 month droght until the day that we hiked there. normally the waterfall is at rickle but it was going at FULLL BLASTTTT when we got there. well first let me say that the hike there was amaaazing. it reminded me of somethng out of a movie with big open spaces and talll treees..like might joe young. lol. anyway, it was cool but there were hazard warnings for some bacteria so we ewere all freaked out about the mud and stuff. anyway it started raining HELLLAAAAAAA hard and we soaked through and through but it was the funnest adventure. when we got to the waterfall we were almost blown away!  we wereonly like 20 feet from it too. the railings looked totally not secure. AHHAHAH it was aesomeeee! we coudnt take too many pictures tho cuz the rain and stuff. eh. we were all giddy with excitement. fun times.  afterwards, we went back, showered and enjoyed being so fresh n so clean clean. we spent the next few hours at the hotel, watching the sunset from our room and watching the day tur to night. there were fireworks in the sky, too! yayy free show. then afterwards we went out and tried to find the beach walk mall. we kind went out late so al ot of stores closed but it was pretty to just see the place at night. pretty bumping. i want to go to senor frogs at some point. its a bar/club. lol maybe some day. :) 

saturday (9/27)

we went to a time share presentation at the ilekai hotel - where they filmed hawaii-five-o and where there's a view of gilligans island. lol. it was pretty enat cuz i learned all about time-share. i told ava that if i had money id do it in an instant cuz its a good deal but of course, only if u actually use it. that's why its good that im poor. lol. anyway we learned a lot adn the guy was real cool and we got some free food, and fortnately ava and william dodged any commitment to it. goo themmmm! :) dang those incentiveeesss! they offered a free return trip to hawaii for a week as well as a 5 day 4 night stay in puerto vallarta..oh MAN. mexico. anyway, fun times. we went to eat at rainbows drive-in for lunch per eddies' request. good food but real rich. we tried to go to the swapmeet but thye were lcosed cuz there was a football game going on. so we went to chinatown and walked around. it wasn't as cool as we thought. i guess nothin really compares to the chinatown in LA or SF. around 230 we went to costco and wal-mart. we got fruit and kona at costco.  @ wal0art we got nooodles.  then we just headed back and we went to the pool and swam a little.  there was a gorgeous view of the sunset. :)  the at 8pm we had MASSAGES and FACIALS. great times. itwas at the marriott at spa olakino. william got a body scrub and reflexogloy scrub, ava got a body scrub and aromatherapy masage and i gota back facial!  at night we ate at san sei. it was free karaoke night but of course we didnt sing. it was cool cuz it was open like in my best friends wedding. a bunch of ppl sang. some sucked. funnn timesss. it was awesomeeee. the sushi was good too. 50% off sushi and appetizeres. we ran up quite a bill but it was satisfying. our server was okay looking too. im not too sure though because it was dark. :D

sunday (9/28)

happy birhtdya william! it was william's birthdayyyy.  we woke up semi early but didnt leave till around 8 or 9.  we drove around looking for food and finally decidded on jamba juice and then the swapmeet!  it was at the aloha stadium, i guess where UH has their games cuz their tentes were up. we walked around the wholleee darn place. i bought a hula doll for huong, but i think im going tokeep it for myself. lol. its one of those dashboard dolls but its a fat hula boy. :) we stayed there a longgg time and finally left around...2. then we went back because unfortunately, i had to take a quiz for my class. i did the reading in advance so it wasnt too bad. i ate cup noodles and hten ran to the business center. then came back in time to change cuz we went on a sunset dinner cruise around 430. pretty darn romantic lol, even though i was 3rd wheelin it. it was soo fun! we had taro bread to start off, then salad, then lobster, then steak, then dessert! we drove right into the sunset. it sure was gorgeous. the dnner came with 3 free drinks. ;)  i had a mai tai, a green flash (get it!!?!?! like the greenflash when the sun sets), and a novacek nectarine. ava and billy bob had pina coladas and other wonderful alcoholic beverages! we went out on the deck a few times to watch the sunset but it only fit like 20 people. lame huh?  tere was on deck entertainnment too. songs and dancing and more!  our waiter was cool too. his name was joe. we got to be pretty tight as the end neared and i had more and more alcohol in me. i called him "homie" and did a few handshakes. lol.  at the end of the night, i was ready to go clubbing. but i didnt. its okay though! :) oh there was also the electric slide and cuban shuffle performed at the end. yay. after the cruise, we got dropped off at the hotel. then we went bak to thte room and just cleaned up and went to bed. :)

monday (9/29)

woke up super early at like..3am. got ready for our day trip to kauai, aka the garden island. we got pickd up much earlier than our pick up time, which was 425am cuz there was some confusion. anyway, we got to the airport okay, flew hawaiian air, and arrived at the airport in kauai where we were met bya nice lady named aunty alicia. she was BOMBBB. we did this tour package thing. :) anway, we were there much earlier than the tour was to start so she drove us to mcdonalds for breakfast (i got the spam, egg, and rice breakfast) and then to the beach. gorgeous. it was their waikiki. then we picked up everyone at their hotels and the tour started. we saw all the plantations - sugar platnation, coffeee plantaion.  she told us abou the history of the island and all this interesting stuff that i sorta remember and thatiwrote down somewhere. i think there's only one sugar platntaion left but they are selling it and turning into a place for biofuel research. crazy eh ? oh there's this island off the coast that is called ni'ihau and it is the forbiddn island where oly ppl born there can stay there. people dont get money there but they are taken care of -food sheter etc. its a very simple life. all they do is college these tiny shells that are unique to that isalnd and they leave the island to sell the shells and necklaces made of the shells.  it's crazy stufff. IZ was born there but i guess he left.  :) oh, and kauai is where captain james cook first landed. a 2nd trip was when he charted the islands. when he first arrived the ppl thought he was rono, the god of the harvest and treated him like a god bc coincidentally, the sails of his ship on the wooden crosses were just like the white sheets on wooden crosses that the people used to represent their god who they were wiating for. i know thts  bad explanation but whatevers. point is, lots of intresteing ihistory. :)  oh and lots of movies were fielmed there - like jurassic park, blue hawaii and more. we saw the canyon which was neato and nicknamed the "grand canyon of the pacific" and we tok a boat ride down the river.  it was fun but we were all POOPEd cuz we woke up at 3am and flew.  it was just a day trip. we flew back and got back to oahu rond 7pm. despite being o so very fatigued, we went to costco and printed osme pictures out. ava read that its best to print pics in hawaii cuz they know what the pics of the water/beahes is supposd to look like and can adjust them.  i dont know if its true but our guy helped us out. sam was bomb and we took a photo with him. yay for meeting local hawaaians at costco! :D  after that, we went walked around waikiki to look for food to look for some stufffor my moms. exhausting.

tuesday (9/30)

woke up super late. it was the day we were to do our sightseeing of the rest of te island. we drove to scenic points and traveled counter clockwise around the island. we went to pali point, up in the mtns where we got a lovely view of the botannical gardens and some other islands off the coast like chinamans hat, etc. then we continued along the coast and stopped at a bunc of pretty points and beaches.  it was cool cuz  aong the edges there are black rocks that look sorta like charcoal -lava rock. OH, i should mention that we did a little bit of a LOST tour this day. theisland that it takes place is suposed to be some random island near indonesia but its really oahu. lol. anyway, william is a "lostie" and so we went to places where scenes took place. we tok pictures at this camping site and then of this pier where i guess some of hte ppl had to walk the plank. i dotn really watch lost, lol.  then we drove to byodo-in temple, which is located in the valley of teh temples. its a replica of one made in japan. it was pretty neato but it was where i got bit by some weird insect on my wrist and it got all swollen. it was really pretty though.  then we continued on to find foooood and stopped at this shrimp truck - giovanni's - somewhere in northshore. we got shrimp scampi. pretty darn good. the shrimp trucks are pretty crazy. they're all tagged and ghetto looking but the food was good. :)  then we continued on our LOST adventure and went to the beach where the movie takes place. its all private and secluded and we even saw the tents that was their camp. then we left and went to the YMCA where i guess the people in LOST end up when theyre bback in LA or something ir eally dont know. lol.  by then it was sun down so we went back to the hotel. we  werew all tired and tried to look for some food but were unsuccessful. we walked around some more, william bogut kona coffee,and then we went back to the hotel, ate ramen and cup noodles and went to sleep.

wednesday (10/1)

woke up early and walked around to buy hawaiian clothing for mama and some souvenirs for friends/family. we almost got a ukelele but my sis n her bf told me to get it at swapmeet back home cuz it was cheap and better quality. we left around 11am, returned the car, headed tot he airport and flew out around 130pm. arrived back in LAX around 930, drove back to their apt, ppicked up some del tacos, ate, watched LOST, and went to sleep.

hawaii was definitely fun times, but i dont think i want to go back for a long time. it was a pretty darn expensive trip! :) tomorrow morning i drive back to sd where i pick up a dog and a cat and watch it with annie for  day or 2. :)

taco tuesday

yeah i drank. that's right. hahahahah. so today i went with my momma to the drs.then we had pho. then i came home and did some reading for class but there's been shit on my mind all day. then i emailed judy tot tell her i wanted to do paitent advocacy at the hospital. then iw ent to play tennis with john. then we bought a case of beer and drank at the tennis court. then i went with john and his friends to taco tuesday at el torito. they closed early so we ended up going to TGIF. i got hella tipsy cuz i had a dos xx, then i had amargarita, then i had a long island. :) anyway iwent back to annie and john's house, ate food and watched friends, sobered up a bit more, and then went home! :) now i gots to pack for hawaiiiiii!!!!!!!!

i really want to cry. i miss him. he just called me. we were 1 and 2 in high school. we shoulda conquered the world together. *sigh*. he's in NY right now doing consulting for monitor group. i'm proud of him. he's going to be doing big things. he's soo awesomeeee. he has a nice ass office too. *sigh*. THATS MY BOYYYYY. im going to go make him take me around in NY, and then in boston. lol. :D

party time!

it's been a while since i've posted. lots been going on.
9/13-9/18 was the vegas/grand canyon (and sedona, zion, and bryce) trip

yay! okay, so i won't say too much about the vegas, GC, etc trip except that it was FREAKIN AMAZING. i couldnt have asked for a more awesome group of people. we totally clicked and it was just FUN. all sorts of fun, like vi said. we saw sooo much and we were so lazy! good times. i got hella drunk..so saturday night we went to rockhouse and drank and drank and danced all night. i had...rum (morgan), vodka tonic, and then an AMF courtesy of justin. vi had the same. melissa was smart and stuck to her beer. needless to say, there were some moments i dont remember from that night, but i had sooo much fun and danced my heart out. :) the second day, we woke up late, checked out town center and watched burn after reading, ate delicious spaghetti, and then went out to christian audigier, the club at treasure island (aka T.I. ;) ). jenny, vi's friend joined us. yet again, another awesoe night filled with drinking and dancing..i think vi had 4 drinks, i had 5 - 2 glasses of champagne, 2 shots of patron, 1 gin&juice - justin prolly had like 6 or 7. melissa kept it low..and jenny i have no idea. we definitely got hella drunk. poor vi got sick :( . we blame justin. :D the next day, we sent justin off to thea irport and the rest of us slept till like noon. we set out late afternoon, and made the drive to the grand canyon int'l hostel. stayed there the night. drove out to sedona in the morning, then went to the GC. then left arizona and drove to utah, and stayed at the sugar knoll bed and breakfast (vi thoguht it was "schukamol" HAHA). anywho, in the morning we drove to bryce canyon, drove back to sugar knoll for the pillow, and then drove otu to zion. then we drove back to vegas where we rested the night away. vi and melissa took me to the airport the next day around 1pm. FUN FREAKIN' TIMES. i <3 them. :)

as soon as i came back, i rested and rested. too much alcohol. friday was a blur. i slept all day. hung out with annie and john and watched friends and movies till 3 in the morn. lol.

saturday - i went with my momma to visit my grandmama. soo cuteeeee. oh boy. i have to visit her more often. she's bored all the time. lol. :) then i went back to the restaurant, hung out with the family/harry/nikki, went home to study and take my quiz so that i could hang out with dtrieu!!! tourguide time! we went to hillcrest (the gay area!) had froyo at pinkberry, then went to coronado to check out the sd skyline, then checked out hotel del coronado (the haunted resort) then retired for the night. sunday we explored balboa park, then went to old town where there was an awesomeee art festival thing going on, had lunch @ fred's, went to lids so he could get an sd cap (holler!!!), went to mt. soledad to get a 360 degree view of sd, then to torrey pines beach, then to the restaurant! it was such a party. my sister and my cousin and her family were there. fun times! then dtrieu left around 7pm-ish up to irvine. meanwhile my sister, momma and i chatted up a storm, my sister helped my momma, my sister drove me home and we chatted some more - yay for free clothes from sister ava - and then she left, and i was left to my quiz. blah. :) now i'm drinking seawood soup. :)

tomorrow, hopefully i'll get some more rest. i got sick - ever since i got back from my road trip i've been feelin a lil funkay. anyway,im also going to check otu the halloween superstore andlook at costumes with annie. oh yeah, an di might go to BLIZZCON. lol. funny funny. okay, goodnight!
